Divya Mohan, Muhamad Syahir Suhaimi and Brendan Crosse (cohort 5) have been awarded the Climate-KIC Greenhouse investment of 5000 € to develop their idea into a commercial product.

They are ‘the edibles’ and are on a mission to take edible straws away from being a novel approach to becoming a global replacement to plastic straws. They want to target the big impact that is created by something so insignificant.
Getting inspired by the devastating state of the oceans and landfills with disposable food packaging, they used design thinking to reach out for solutions. They will make straws that are edible, zero-waste and fortified with nutrients. Their ultimately goal is to replace the plastic straw and make edible straws the next food hero.
